Introduction
Please find below our Terms and Conditions. They apply when using or purchasing products and services through our website, SkillIreland.com, and provide important information for you as a buyer. Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order, as each order requires your acceptance of these terms.
PPS Letter
As a training company, Skill Ireland Training is unable to issue a PPS letter to participants. PPS letters are only provided in conjunction with job offers from recognized employers or recruitment agencies. Issuing a PPS letter for a Manual Handling Course or any other training course is illegal.
Manual Handling Practical Session
Participants in the Manual Handling Practical Session must be able to participate in order to receive a Full Manual Handling Certificate.
- Health Declaration:
Participants must declare that they are fit to take part in the practical evaluation, which involves activities related to manual handling. You must confirm that you do not suffer from any condition that could result in injury during the practical assessment.If you are unable to participate in this activity, you must contact Skill Ireland Training to request a Manual Handling Training Certificate (Theory Only).
- Practical Assessment via Zoom or Video Upload:
The Manual Handling practical assessment can be completed via Video Upload. Participants must upload a video demonstrating the required practical skills within 4 weeks of completing the theory part of the course.- Videos must follow the guidelines provided by Skill Ireland Training and demonstrate the correct techniques for manual handling tasks.
- All video submissions will be reviewed by a Certified (QQI) Manual Handling Instructor.
- If a participant does not upload their video within the stipulated time, they will need to retake the theory assessment. For delays exceeding 12 weeks, participants must retake the entire theory portion of the course.
- Via Zoom Live Session
The practical assessment can also be conducted via videoconference with a Certified (QQI) Manual Handling Instructor. The practical assessment must be booked within 4 weeks of completing the theory part of the course.
Training Certificate
Upon successful completion of the course, participants can download a digital certificate from their student dashboard. The certificate includes a unique verification code. A printed certificate can be requested for an additional fee of €5.
Note: After downloading or saving your certificate, please ensure it is displayed correctly. If any text overlaps or is incorrectly displayed, this may result from using an outdated internet browser. If updating your browser does not resolve the issue, contact us to receive a PDF copy via email.
No Liability for Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skill Ireland Training and its suppliers are not liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use this product, including but not limited to: personal injury, loss of business profits, business interruptions, or data loss.
The company’s liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the course. Some jurisdictions may not allow exclusions or limitations on liability; therefore, these provisions may not apply to you.
Membership Restrictions
Each member is granted a unique user ID and password to access course materials. Sharing or distributing login credentials or course content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate suspension of the account, along with additional charges for unauthorized use.
Minimum System and Connectivity Requirements
To access courses, members must meet the following minimum system requirements:
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 or Mac OS X 10.8 (or later).
- Software: Adobe Acrobat Reader version 9 or later; Adobe Flash Player (if required by the course).
- Hardware: Speakers or a headset for audio reproduction.
- Internet: Minimum speed of 3 Mb/sec for standard quality or 5 Mb/sec for high quality.
Mobile: Course content is compatible with iOS devices (iPad 2 onwards, iPhone 4 onwards) and certain Android devices. Performance may vary based on signal strength and browser compatibility.
